Twin Recorder in F Tuning

The double or twin flute (recorder) is a folk instrument used in Gyimes among the csángó ethnic group to this day, but it is also a well-known instrument in folk music in Hungarian-speaking areas. Two integrated or one piece of wood double flute bodies of the same size and pitch. There are usually six holes on one side and none on the other, but on other models there are holes on both sides, usually in a 4 + 3 distribution. On flutes perforated on one side, the basic tone of the flute, or its 1st, 2nd or 3rd overtones, is played as a second voice parallel to the melody.
