ORIGIN: Zefiro S SUNRISE's Ritusen scale belongs to the Chinese musical tradition.
DESCRIPTION: The sound of this scale is very "Orient-flavoured": open and harmonious, it's got the brightness of the morning sun. Theoretically, it's not entirely characterized as major scale (it lacks the mediant note), but it fully expresses the "radiance" of the major mode.
MEANING OF THE NAME: The reference to the Rising Sun is quite obviously due to the fact that this scale is typical of the Eastern tradition.
